The Muppets Take Dublin and more as Fantastic Flix comes into focus for VMDIFF19


The announcements are starting to roll in for the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival 2019 and frankly there might not be many more exciting that the news that comedy classic The Muppet Movie is going to be screening all over the fair city of film this February, as part of VMDIFF19’s Fantastic Flix programme.

Every year at the Dublin International Film Festival, Fantastic Flix brings the best cinema for children and young people from around the world to film fans in Dublin and the announcement of the Muppet Movie screenings is just one of many exciting events taking place for younger viewers at this year’s festival, which will be taking place from February 20th until March 3rd.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the big-screen debut of Jim Henson’s iconic characters centres on Kermit, who is persuaded by an agent to make a break for Hollywood. He gathers the other Muppets to pursue their dreams of fame, all while trying to evade a frog-leg loving restaurateur…with great songs, tons of laughs and incredible puppetry that amazes to this day, The Muppet Movie will be sure to entertain audience members of all ages. The film will moving right along into Dublin on February 24th, and will be screening across Dublin in Movies@Dundrum, the Odeon cinemas at the Point Village and Charlestown, Cineworld Dublin and the Light House Cinema.
