Taking place on Friday 17th September, Culture Night 2021 invites us all to come together again, and there’s no shortage of film events for us to do just that. One we’re really excited for at Film In Dublin will be a screening of short films that put the fair city at their centre. ‘Dublin Will Be Written In My Heart’ will offer an evening of shorts celebrating Dublin in all its glory, beauty and blemishes.
Last February, the Circular Bar & Grill on the South Circular Road launched the Rialto Cinema Club. These nights aimed to bring cult cinema, homegrown movies and more to Dublin 8, fitting a few screenings in before lockdown descended upon us all. This Saturday, 27th February, the cinema club returns with a selection of short films.
Located just on the South Circular Road, The Circular is a bar and grill that offers craft beer, pizza and now a bit of cinema too, via their Rialto Cinema Club. Every week they’ll be showing a variety of films, with some intriguing deep cuts on the menu for the weeks ahead. It’s sure to make for an entertaining addition to screenings taking place throughout the fair city of film.
The full programme for the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival 2020 was launched at the Light House Cinema in Smithfield this afternoon. VMDIFF Director Gráinne Humphreys announced details of this year’s programme, a 12 day extravaganza of cinema and an opportunity to see the very best of world cinema and film talent in Dublin.
