Pretty Deadly Films returns this April!

Film In Dublin’s online zine Pretty Deadly Films is currently seeking guest contributors. Each issue of PDF looks at film through the lens of a particular theme, with contributors submitting various features on their favourite movies, the blockbusters, the cult hits, the films where the pretty and the deadly do things that are pretty deadly. On film.

To keep the bright lights on for our e-zine machine, we will be making our next batch of issues available for pay-what-you-can on Gumroad. More details will be available soon and Film In Dublin would be very grateful for any support you can give out there in the fair city of film and beyond.

We are accepting submissions for:

• Essays
• Artwork
• Comics
• Poetry
• Themed recipes
• And more (Surprise us!)

We have slots open for 4 guest contributors for our 5th issue, ‘Reboots, Returns, Revivals’.


Pretty Deadly Films can offer €60 for artwork and essays.  We aim to release four issues in 2021 – in April, June, September and December. If April is coming too soon for you, or if we are unable to slot you in this time, we can keep you in mind for the months ahead.

Deadline for pitches and submissions for Pretty Deadly Films #5 is Friday April 2nd. We’ll have something pretty deadly for yiz pretty soon!
