Some of the best of Irish film at the St. Patrick’s Film Festival with Volta

This St. Patrick’s week, the Irish online streaming platform Volta will be celebrating some of the best of our local cinema. See hits from the fair city of film and beyond on the isle, all for free from this March 15th – 21st.

The St. Patrick’s Film Festival will serve as a showcase for some of Ireland’s best storytellers and talents at the moment. As Volta themselves say,

So much of being Irish is appreciating a good story and having the ability to tell a good story. To celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day, Volta together with Screen Ireland are inviting audiences to enjoy an Irish film on us at home. Audiences can choose from a specially curated collection of terrific Irish Film from some of our favourite filmmakers.

With the support of Screen Ireland, the streaming platform has picked some of the best Irish films of recent years to make available all week. Simply by entering the festival viewing code SPFF2021 . This code can be redeemed multiple times, allowing viewers to experience the full range of films as their own completely free, self-curated film festival. From gas comedies like Extra Ordinary, coming of age tales like A Date for Mad Mary and Metal Heart and documentaries like the Shane McGowan story Crock of Gold, there’s plenty of selection on offer.
