It’s Hepburn Forever This Summer At The Light House

Two legends of cinema are being celebrated throughout June and the start of July at the Light House Cinema as their programme Hepburn Forever screens the work of Audrey and Katharine Hepburn. Two true icons of 20th century Hollywood, the films of the (non-related) Hepburns will be sure to bring a touch of glitz and glamour to the Smithfield cinema, making for one classy way to kick off the summer.

To go through the careers of Audrey and Katharine Hepburn is to encounter some of the most vital contributions and contributors to American cinema, great directors like John Huston and Billy Wilder, acting greats such as Gregory Peck, Humphrey Bogart, Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Taylor and more. The central acting greats of course, are the two women themselves, with their charisma, style and steel continuing to influence to this day. Hepburn Forever kicks off on Saturday June 3rd with a ‘Boozy’ Breakfast At Tiffany’s. The Light House will be treating guests with a selection of pastries, fresh fruit and macarons and yes, if you choose to partake, a cheeky snipe of Prosecco as well.

The cinema presents a selection of some of some of their pair’s most beloved classic films, across a variety of genres, showcasing the very different talents of these two performers. Tickets for all these films are available now and you can see the full list of films for Audrey and Katharine below.
