Iberscreen 2025 at the Irish Film Institute

The Irish Film Institute is your best bet in Dublin for seeing collated and curated international cinema, whether that’s in their ongoing programming or in their dedicated seasons like the French Film Festival, or Kinopolis. This spring they’re adding a new festival to their calendar to share the best of contemporary South American and Spanish cinema.

From April 24 to 27, the IFI will host the inaugural IberScreen 2025, Ireland’s premier Ibero-American Film Festival. Dedicated to showcasing socially impactful films, IberScreen aims to make connections and start conversations between audiences and filmmakers. 11 feature films will be screened at the festival over the course of the four days.

Celebrating the rich and diverse cinematic voices of Ibero-America, the festival brings together the best films from countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Peru, and Colombia, showcasing stories that inspire, challenge, and captivate. From bold new voices to established auteurs, the programme highlights the depth of storytelling and the cultural vibrancy of the region.

The IFI are promising an unforgettable journey through compelling narratives, groundbreaking documentaries, and visionary filmmaking. Whether you’re a cinephile or simply curious about the dynamic world of Ibero-American cinema, this festival is your gateway to discovering unique perspectives and powerful storytelling.
