D8 events avenue Hen’s Teeth are partnering again with Abhainn Studio to host an evening ideal for the indie film heads out there in Dublin. This summer, their latest Bring Your Own Art Art Show will have an A24 they’re inviting artists to submit works inspired by the indie darlings’ ouevre.
Bring Your Own Art Art Show is a collaboration between Hen’s Teeth and Abhainn Studio, an open-door art show for new and established artists alike to show their work, connect and hopefully sell their work. The next evening of this exhibition is an A24 Cult Movie edition on Thursday, 27th June.
They’re calling for artistss to choose their favourite A24 film and develop some original art inspired by it – movie posters, prop recreations, sculptures and more are encouraged, with all easily hung artwork welcome. Submissions are open to artists now until 17th June. You can contact hello@abhainnstudio.com to send in art.
The fine print for submissions is as follows:
- 1 hung piece per artist
- Artwork for printing can be sent to Abhainn Studio
- Max size A2 approx.
- Artwork must be original, own work
A24 have a deep well of films to draw on for ideas. The company behind Everything Everywhere All At Once, Talk to Me, Uncut Gems, Midsommar, Lady Bird, Moonlight, HBO’s Euphoria, Netflix’s Beef and more are an appropriately trendy muse for the Blackpitts’ trendy venue and the artists therein. This summer you can attend the exhibit and pick up some original art based on what might well be your favourite movie of the last few years.
