The newest film festival in the fair city of film arrives later this month, and they’re looking share the vibrant stories and talents of LGBTQIA+ people of colour worldwide with local film fans. The Queer Spectrum Film Festival is set for Saturday 25th November at the Project Arts Centre.
QSFF joins the calendar of queer film festivals in Ireland but with its own important remit. It represents Ireland’s first-ever film festival dedicated to amplifying the narratives and experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals of colour and immigrants, providing a platform for voices and stories that have been historically underrepresented.
Event organisers Queer Asian Pride Ireland aims to celebrate the rich tapestry of diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community through their curation of the festival, fostering greater understanding and
empathy among audiences. 30 films from all over the world will be screening from the Project Arts Centre from 11.30am on the day. You can see more info on the festival in their programme HERE.
