Back to Front raises money for MASI this weekend

This Saturday sees the collective of short films return to the Stella Theatre in Rathmines. All proceeds from this event are in aid of the Movement of Asylum Seekers Ireland (MASI).

MASI is an independent platform for asylum seekers to join together in unity and purpose.  The collective seeks justice, freedom and dignity for all asylum seekers. The Kitchen Collective will be hosting their Back to Front event for MASI with two sets of screenings at 2pm and 4pm on Saturday 12th March.

Tickets for this event at the Stella Theatre in Ranelagh cost €11.53 incl. booking fees via Eventbrite.

We set up this screening to give established and non established filmmakers a platform to see their movie on the big screen and mingle with like minded creatives. So far we have raised nearly €1000 euro per screening for various charities close to our hearts. This month’s charity is MASI who do incredible things specifically for people in Direct Provision. This is the 4th installment after a long Covid pause. We hope to do these screenings every 3 months or so. It’s a great day out. Irish filmmakers are doing some incredible things and we’re proud to showcase their work.
