Dublin After Dark finds frights in the fair city Oct 29th

Following on from Culture Night’s event Dublin Will Be Written in My Heart, which showed off the city through the eyes of its filmmakers, another Fillum event will be finding its way to the Circular Bar this Halloween season, a night with a twist. Dublin After Dark will show a different side of the city, not strictly horror, but a darker shade of shorts, all screening on Friday 29th October.

10 short films from a variety of Irish creatives will be screened as part of the evening. Rialto’s Circular Bar is no stranger to cinema at this stage, and you can enjoy a pint and a pizza while taking in shorts by Chiara Viale, Conor Tobin, Oonagh Kearney and more. Everything from dark comedy to the too real horrors of the housing crisis will be on show for these screenings, a love letter to the city with a little acid in the pen…

Screenings at the Circular will begin from 7pm, with the event running until 9, so you can celebrate Dublin After Dark…after dark. Tickets for this evening are available now for €5 from Eventbrite.
