Last February, the Circular Bar & Grill on the South Circular Road launched the Rialto Cinema Club. These nights aimed to bring cult cinema, homegrown movies and more to Dublin 8, fitting a few screenings in before lockdown descended upon us all. This Saturday, 27th February, the cinema club returns with a selection of short films.
Filmmaker Jenny Keogh brings back the Short Cuts series, with a screening event this evening featuring a selection of top Irish short documentaries. This online event is free to attend, but there is the option to donate to the charity Little Flower Penny Dinners. This Meath Street charity delivers meals on wheels and takeaway lunches to those in need, providing dinners to the homeless, elderly and housebound.
The screening for this latest Rialto Cinema Club gathering is kicking off at 8pm, with a runtime of 60 minutes. 6 documentaries by Irish filmmakers will be shown as part of Short Cuts. A private Youtube link will be available for 3 hours until 11pm tonight at https://youtu.be/qhLIZu79jVA. The official donation link for the event will be available in the Youtube description when Short Cuts goes live.
