Element Pictures launch online Light House Shop

The Halloween season is usually a time we’re glued to the big screen here in the fair city of film. Unfortunately the current status of Covid-19 here in Ireland means that all cinemas are shut for the foreseeable future, but that doesn’t mean we can’t show some of our favourite cinemas some support. At the IFI, the online IFI@Home player is going strong, with the IFI Horrorthon currently in full swing on the online platform.

Meanwhile, Element Pictures have launched a new online shop, so that the adoring patrons of the Light House Cinema and the Pálás can acess some great new gifts and give the venues some much needed revenue. You can now buy Gift Vouchers for the cinemas, exclusive locally designed prints and greeting cards and more on the new Light House Shop.

From illustrated artwork by local collaborators to seasonal artwork featuring some film favourites, the Light House Shop offers a curated collection of art prints and greeting cards. Presently, gift vouchers for the Light House Cinema and the Pálás are also available at present, so that that when the cinemas can safely reopen, you can give the gift of a screening to film fans in your life.

More products will be added in the coming weeks. so it’ll be worth keeping an eye on the cinemas’ social channels for updates as they come in, especially with Christmas coming rapidly round the corner.

The current selection of prints and cards have been designed by Conor Merriman, who frequently provides the iconic artwork that accompanies the cinemas’ specially curated screening seasons. All the art is printed locally, allowing film fans to provide support to local independent cinema and businesses.

With Halloween in full swing, the shop has launched with some art inspired by spooky classics, including Ringu, The Craft and more.

We’re all desperately looking forward to being able to sit safely in front of the big screen again here at Film In Dublin, so we welcome any and all opportunities to give the gift of cinema at this time.

The shop is online now and you can check it out at www.lighthousecinemashop.ie
