There is a richly talented animation industry in Ireland as well as a base of film fans who appreciate the unique artistry the filmmaking format has to offer. With the support of animation industry folks and local groups, the Dún Laoghaire-based Dublin Animation Film Festival has a strong tradition of celebrating the best of animation at home and abroad. The tenth edition of the festival is set to stream online in the coming days.
Following a call for submissions in the summer, DAFF 2020 is set to go ahead with an all-online edition on October 24th – 26th. With the support of the Eventive programme for film festivals, this year the Dublin Animation Film Festival will offer a range of short animated films, showcasing local talents on the up.

Far Isle – directed by Laura Robinson, Paper Owl Films.
Wargame – directed by Blayne Fitzpatrick
To the Stars – directed by Lindsey Adams, Daily Madness Productions.
Mourning Murder – directed by Liam Fahy
Girl and Robot – directed by Rory Kerr.
Passes to watch everything on during the festival are available now for €9. Note that movies are geo-blocked, and can only be watched in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
