Underground Cinema Film Festival delivering an online edition this September

The Dublin Underground Cinema Film Festival has long been a champion of emerging filmmakers in Ireland. Now in its 11th year, the Underground Cinema believes that no matter what a film’s budget or vision may be it’s the filmmakers passion that drives a film, and they’ve supported that passion through years of festivals. This month, the festival will be going all online for the first time.

All films screening in this year’s Underground Cinema Film Festival will be available to view online for three days, during the festival dates of September 4th – 8th.  The festival organisers have strived to keep ticketing simple so attendees can maintain the festival experience from the safety of their own home.  You can buy a pass to see a specific program or purchase a pass that gives access to everything, including watch parties for those who purchase a VIP pass. The festival will include Q&A sessions held online with directors, actors and screenwriters from this year’s films.

Tickets for full programmes of shorts, features and documentaries respectively are available for €10 each, or for €25 you can receive a full pass to get access to everything, including the Q&As, Watch Parties and a film makers networking forum.

There are an impressive 90 films across the categories set to screen during the festival, including the Irish premiere of Be Good or Be Gone. This comedy-drama by Cathal Nally and Les Martin would have been the festival’s Opening Gala had they been able to screen live, but it will still form part of a great selection of Irish and international films available throughout the week of screenings, including Breaking Ice, Tristan Heanue’s Ciúnas and more.
