Subtitle Spotlight European Film Festival returns to the Pavilion Theatre

Been working through our picks of international films you should watch and looking to add even more to your list? You’re just in time for the Subtitle Spotlight European Film Festival, taking place at the Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire this weekend, Jan 31st – Feb 2nd. A selection of European subtitled films will invite viewers to see cinema in a whole new way.

The Subtitle: Spotlight European Film Festival  is a partnership between a casting-led film festival, Subtitle, and the Spotlight casting agency. With offices in Smithfield, Spotlight connects performers across Europe with roles in theatre, television and film productions. The Pavilion Theatre on Dublin’s south side will host ten screenings over a weekend festival of film, featuring productions from France, Scandanavia, Germany and more. The festival is offering a 5 film pass for €35 through their box office at (01) 231 2929 or a festival pass for €65, available online from the Pavilion.

The Subtitle Spotlight event in Dublin will preface a full festival in Kilkenny later this year. Held there each November it showcases European films and aims to connect casting directors from around the world with exciting acting talent from across the continent. The ninth annual Subtitle Spotlight event in Kilkenny will be taking place from 23 – 29th November 2020, but until then you can check out the full list of films that will be showing in Dun Laoghaire this weekend below:
