Redcon-1 spreads to Dublin for exclusive screenings of this zombie flick

A nation divided? Once thriving cities reduced to ruins? Shambling, brainless monsters praying on the innocent, destroying all hope? It’s not just Brexit, it’s also Redcon-1; a new, independent British zombie action/war film.  Having screened in cinemas across the UK, the film is now making its way to Ireland, with some exclusive screenings for zombie fans in the fair city of film.

Officially released in late September, Redcon-1 embarked on a tour of screenings across a number of British cities. The final stop on this tour will see the indie horror travel to our country, with screenings to take place in Vue Dublin Cinema, in Liffey Valley. These screenings will take place on Wednesday 31st October at 6pm and 8.50pm, and also on Saturday 3rd November at 8pm.
Amidst a deadly pandemic that has seen half the country quarantined, a squad of eight Special Forces soldiers are assigned to rescue a scientist who is believed to hold the cure. Their mission sees them travelling in to the heart of the quarantine zone, and in the process uncover a secret that threatens not only their survival, but that of mankind itself.
The film was shot in twelve different cities in the UK, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, London and Stafford amongst others, and has attracted a number of producers in Hollywood including Carlos Gallardo (producer of the El Mariachi trilogy, who also stars in the film); Kevin Eastman (co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Stephen L’Heureux (producer of Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For). Irish actors Orla O’Rourke (The Clinic, Calvary) and Michael Sheehan (Fair City) are among the film’s cast. Check out the trailer for Redcon-1 below:

The film will be showing exclusively in Vue Liffey Valley at the following times:
