The Light House has announced a double-bill that is very On-Brand for the Smithfield cinema.
This August, the Light House celebrates two of their favourite films by pairing them together for a inspired double-bill. Jonathan Demme’s Talking Heads documentary Stop Making Sense will kick off proceedings, before segueing straight into Call Me By Your Name. No doubt Elio himself would approve.
The energised live concert experience of Stop Making Sense is rarely far from Dublin’s screens, in fact you can see it at the Sugar Club on August 10th if you simply cannot wait for more David Byrne big screen content. After that though, the Light House will be offering the film packaged with Luca Guadagnino’s modern queer cinema classic on August 18th and tickets can be purchased from the cinema either individually or for a discounted double price of €16. The night will be sure to offer plenty of era-appropriate music at the Light House bar and a few cheeky Bellinis before an evening of superb cinema.
Tickets are available from the Light House now. (The discounted price is available at the box office/over the phone)
