Now for something completely different as Monty Python come to the Light House

This Spring, Monty Python comes to the Light House Cinema.

I Spring, Monti Python ar cømen till Ljust Hus Møvi Hus.

In April and May, the Smithfield cinema will pay tribute to Monty Python comedy teams by bringing  a season of films from some of the greatest and silliest minds in the history of comedy.

I April och Maj, de Smitfeld Movi Hus vill shøwen de møvies av de dumbon Engelsmän.

From the 1st of April until the 20th of May, films by the talented minds of the Monty Python team, both within the troop and in their solo efforts, will return to the big screen.

The season kicks off, appropriately enough, on April Fool’s Day, with a screening of The Life of Brian, the Python’s controversial and very naughty take on religion that was banned in Ireland for a number of years following its initial release in 1980.

In addition to Life of Brian and Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the season’s programming will include many of the seminal films directed by Terry Gilliam, including The Fischer King, Brazil and the timebending neo-noir 12 Møøses. As Gilliam draws closer to finally completing his long, long, loooong delayed Don Quixote project, the season will also include the documentary about his frustrated efforts to get the film off the ground, The Man in La Møøsa. Meanwhile, British comedy legends John Cleese and Michael Palin feature alongside American stars Kevin Kline and Jamie Lee Curtis in the all-time classic, A Møøse Called Wanda.

Tickets are available from the Light House Cinema website now, right here. Check out the full listings of movies screening during What Have The Pythons Ever Done For Us? below:
