Holidays are coming as Naughty or Nice season returns to the Light House

The cinema equivalent of a Coca Cola truck wheeling into town for Dublin film fans, the Light House Cinema’s announcement of their ‘Naughty or Nice’ season heralds the arrival of the Christmas season, just as the Halloween decorations start coming down. The month of December in the Smithfield cinema is dedicated to Christmas classics, with all your favourite Christmas movies available on the big screen. We don’t know about you, but it’s hard not to look at the amazing artwork above by Chris Judge and not feel the excitement and the nostalgia start to flow. The full season has been announced and tickets are already on sale, so the time to start writing to Santa for two tickets to Die Hard is now.

From bloody action movies to beloved family films there’s something for everyone across the 20 different screenings and events that comprise this year’s Naughty or Nice season. It kicks off from the 1st of December as the Light House welcomes pals of all kinds to the party, specifically the Nakatomi Tower 80’s Office Party, an occasion for dress up, themed cocktails and a mince pie or two. That’s not the only party that’s part of the season as the popular Elf themed karaoke night makes a return this year too on the 8th of December. The kids will be sure to love screenings of films like Home Alone or The Snowman (no not that one), while those who like to engage in a spot of culture in the comfy setting of the cinema will enjoy the The Nutcracker on offer. Hollywood Babylon‘s cult film screening for the month marks the 30th anniversary of Lethal Weapon, while the cinema’s long-running book club looks at Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Check out the full schedule below and if you’re going to have a Merry Movie Christmas this year at the Light House, be sure to let us know what you’re going to see.
