The toys are back in town as Happenings shows Toy Story in Dublin

Just because the summer is over, doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the fun of Happenings’ Open Air Cinema. The likes of OnceLa La LandDirty Dancing and Groundhog Day have all been shown by Happenings out in the sunshine (and rain!) over the last few months, and their latest event will show a beloved classic right in Sandymount.

Happenings will be teaming with Sandymount Tidy Towns and Dublin City Council this week to present Toy Story in Sandymount Green. They are making their way back to the gorgeous little park in the heart of the village and screening such an iconic movie to boot. Drop in (or rather, fall with style) to Sandymount this Friday September 8 to join them for Toy Story and delve into the secret life of toys, enjoying the antics of Woody and Buzz as they desperately attempt to make it home. Gates for the event will open at 7pm and the screening will kick off when the sun goes down.

You can expect all the usual Happenings entertainment, and as usual they’ll have hot drinks and treats on offer.

Peter O’Brien, the Happenings founder, has this to say:

“At Happenings we have some simple philosophies. We strive to give green public spaces beautiful open air events allowing people to enjoy their city in a meaningful way. A personal responsibility action at our events is to Leave No Trace. Our audiences clean up the space by taking care of their own waste. We have an unlocked policy. This means we are unlocking the potential of public space and we do not have drunken madness at anytime. We aim to provide an alternative to pub based entertainment”

Ticket are available on happenings.ie or on the gate for €5.
