Retro Drive-In Returns to Cherrywood

Following a number of successful screenings last year, Retro Drive-In Movies are returning to Dublin in the springtime. The old school movie-watching experience will be bringing  the likes of Toy Story, Top Gun and Titanic to Cherrywood in March 2017.

Retro Drive-In Movies describe themselves as “a cinema experience like no other”, allowing film-goers to watch beloved classics from the comfort of their car, by listening in on the stereo. 2016 saw the Retro Drive-In show Hocus Pocus, Scream, some Christmas favourites and more. Tickets are on sale now for their next set of movie showings.

The family friendly event provides on site catering, including a Coca-Cola trailer, freshly prepared burgers and hot dogs and of course, the all-important popcorn. There’s even freshly-made pizza available on site.

The Retro Drive-In will be coming to Cherrywood on the 18-19 March. Kicking off proceedings will be the perrenial family favourite Toy Story, showing on the 18th at 2pm. Later that afternoon, it’s a trip to the Danger Zone with Top Gun at 5pm, followed in the evening  by Titanic at 8pm. The 19th will see two more films shown at the Drive-In. Stand By Me will screen at 6pm. Finally, Irish film The Van will be shown on the 19th at 9pm. If you’ve got a car, a working FM radio and an interest in a night at the movies the old-fashioned way, tickets and more information are available from Retro Drive-In Movies.
