Viggo Mortensen Makes His Way To Dublin

The star of A History of ViolenceThe RoadEastern Promises and The Lord of the Rings trilogy’s Aragorn, Viggo Mortensen is making his way to Dublin next week.

Mortensen will be in town promoting the release of his new film Captain Fantastic, attending a preview of the film at the Light House Cinema on Monday August 15th at 6.30pm. Demand to see the acclaimed actor in person was obviously high, with tickets selling out at the Smithfield cinema within hours of the announcement. The film sees Mortensen play a devoted father raising his six children deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, until they have leave his ‘self-created paradise’, beginning a journey into the outside world that challenges his idea of what it means to be a parent and brings into question everything he’s taught them. The actor will be doing a Q and A with after the screening. Do not ask him if you have his sword or anything like that, we imagine he’s quite fed up with that now.

Captain Fantastic will be released in Irish cinemas September 9th.
