The latest WIFT Masterclass at the Brooks Hotel will be taking place next month. The morning of Saturday 21 October (from 11am – 12.30pm) will be see the Drury Street hotel host a Masterclass in editing, with BAFTA-nominated Úna Ní Dhonghaíle on hand to provide her expertise in film and television editing.

Budding female cinematographers will be glad to hear that on Saturday the 12th of August, Women in Film & Television Ireland are bringing a DOP masterclass to Brooks Hotel. The event will run from 11am to 12pm.

A Masterclass in directing comes to the Brooks Hotel on Drury Street next Monday, courtesy if the Women in Film and Television Ireland and the director Aisling Walsh. Following her latest film Maudie‘s showings at the Toronto Film Festival and ADIFF 2017, Walsh will be talking about directing and writing for the screen from 6-9pm next Monday, 29 May.

In association with Dublin Fashion Festival, Brooks hotel is screening Richard Press’ documentary Bill Cunningham New York. Bill Cunningham is a fashion photographer, but unlike most he makes the streets of New York his studio, choosing to document street fashion above all else. Not much is known about the man behind the camera and this film sets out to change that.
